Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge Approves Three Key Committees for Tamil Nadu Unit

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge approved the immediate constitution of three key panels for the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee on Sunday evening in Chennai. The newly approved bodies comprise the Political Affairs Committee, the Advisory Committee, and the Disciplinary Action Committee.
The formal announcement was made through a press release issued by All India Congress Committee General Secretary K C Venugopal. According to the party release, the establishment of the committees is aimed at streamlining political operations, internal governance, and policy-related matters for the Congress organisation in Tamil Nadu.
The Political Affairs Committee includes several party leaders among its members, notably Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President B Manickam Tagore and S Jothimani.
Meanwhile, the party constituted a seven-member Disciplinary Action Committee to oversee internal order and discipline within the state unit. This committee will be headed by K R Ramasamy.
The six other leaders appointed as members of the Disciplinary Action Committee are Jayakumar S S, Ramasubbu, U Balaraman, R N Palanisamy, Sudha Ramakrishnan, and Ameer Khan.
The party leadership noted that the immediate formation of these bodies will support overall administrative functioning and political decision-making across the state.
