CM C Joseph Vijay Reviews Revenue and Cooperative Departments at Chennai Secretariat

Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay launched a long-drawn series of review meetings on Thursday to evaluate the functioning of the Revenue and Cooperative departments at the Secretariat in Chennai. The sessions mark the beginning of a comprehensive review of various state departments ahead of the presentation of the upcoming State Budget.
The inaugural meetings held at the Secretariat were attended by the Ministers connected to the functioning of the departments, as well as the senior officers who are in charge of these respective portfolios.
Over the subsequent days, other government departments will also be brought under review. This broader exercise is designed to help the administration understand the day-to-day functioning of the various departments and to identify the specific problems that they face.
According to the schedule, this review exercise is set to continue over the coming weeks. The sessions will go on until the Assembly meets again for the presentation of the State Budget towards the end of the month.
The discussions and findings from these department reviews will be used to prepare the annual State Budget. This upcoming budget will be the first one presented by the TVK government.
