The newly appointed staff includes 751 Assistant Medical Officers and 1,393 Health Inspectors, who will be deployed to various healthcare facilities across the state to bolster public health services.

In addition to the distribution of appointment letters, the Chief Minister officially inaugurated new medical infrastructure projects valued at Rs 140 crore. The state-of-the-art facilities are aimed at upgrading the medical resources available to the public. Alongside the physical infrastructure, the government also launched the 'Nalam TN' website, a new digital initiative designed to support the health department's outreach.

State Health Minister K. G. Arunraj was present at the State College Auditorium to welcome the Chief Minister and address the gathered medical professionals. Speaking at the event, the Health Minister highlighted the importance of the day's inaugurations for the state's medical sector.

"Today is a golden day for the Tamil Nadu Health Department as new infrastructure worth Rs 140 crores and Nalam TN website will be inaugurated by our CM today," Minister Arunraj said.

The Health Minister also praised Chief Minister Vijay's approach to governance and his dedication to the welfare of the people of Tamil Nadu.

"A real leader is not the one who orders from a chair but the one who stands with love with his people," Arunraj stated during his address. "A leader should have humanity, empathy and love. Our leader and CM has such qualities."

The induction of 2,144 healthcare professionals, including the 751 Assistant Medical Officers and 1,393 Health Inspectors, represents a major recruitment drive by the Department of Health and Family Welfare to strengthen the state's healthcare system.
