Class 9 Student Dies After Falling Off Moving Bus Near Vadakadambadi in Chengalpattu

A 13-year-old Class 9 student died after falling from a moving government bus near Vadakadambadi in Chengalpattu district on Wednesday morning while on his way to school.

The deceased has been identified as S Deena, a resident of Kunnapattu village near Mamallapuram. Deena was a student at the Poonjeri Government Higher Secondary School, also located near Mamallapuram.

According to the police, the incident occurred during the morning hours when Deena boarded a government bus from the Karanai bus stop. Because the bus was crowded with passengers, he was allegedly travelling on the footboard.

As the vehicle was passing through the Vadakadambadi area, Deena lost his balance and fell onto the road. The rear wheel of the bus ran over his leg, resulting in severe injuries.

Following the accident, he was rushed to the Poonjeri Government Hospital in an ambulance. After medical personnel administered first aid, doctors referred him to the Chengalpattu Government Hospital for further medical intervention.

However, upon arrival at the Chengalpattu hospital, doctors examined the boy and declared him brought dead.
