Chennai Brand Arun Icecreams Expands to US, Debuts at New York India Day Parade

Chennai-based brand Arun Icecreams has made its debut in the United States market, marking its presence with participation in the India Day Parade 2026 held on Madison Avenue in New York on August 16.
The brand, part of Hatsun Agro Product Ltd, set up an engagement booth and float during the parade where it distributed more than 15,000 ice creams to members of the Indian diaspora and American consumers. Among the flavours distributed were Butterscotch Sandwich, Cream n Cookies Donuts, Vanilla Bites, and Popitos Kacha Mango & Malai Kulfi.
According to Hatsun Agro Product Ltd Chairman RG Chandramogan, the parade gave the company an opportunity to share the brand with both the Indian diaspora, who already have an emotional connection with it, and American consumers experiencing it for the first time. The booth served as a platform to build visibility and trust across both demographics.
Arun Icecreams officially entered the US market in mid-2026 as part of a broader push to expand its operations in international markets. Within a few months of its launch, the brand has established a presence across the northeastern region of the United States.
Chandramogan noted that the decision to join the parade aligned with the company's approach of offering accessible indulgence while introducing international consumers to its range of flavours. He stated that the company is adopting a step-by-step expansion strategy, building out from regions where it already has a foothold as it evaluates market demand.
The company attributes its international milestone to its long-standing foundation in South India. Chandramogan stated that the brand intends to expand into additional international markets while maintaining its Indian roots.
