B Sachin Guides Vida Kovai Kings to TNPL 2026 Victory at Chepauk

Batter B Sachin played a pivotal role in guiding Vida Kovai Kings to victory in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. A key century partnership between Sachin and C Andre Siddarth set up the team's triumph against Madurai Panthers under the floodlights.

Sachin was named Player of the Tournament after amassing 428 runs across the competition. Reflecting on his achievement, the batter expressed his satisfaction with how his preparations translated into success during the campaign.

In the final, Kovai Kings reached approximately 105 runs by the middle of the 10th over and appeared poised to cross the 200-run mark. However, on a pitch described as sticky, the team finished with a total of 182/7 on the board, which Sachin noted was a par score.

The 23-year-old attributed his performance to targeted power-hitting preparation over the preceding six months, including dedicated practice with a bowling machine. Although he highlighted his tournament-long form, he noted an earlier innings of 84 runs against Madurai Panthers at the NPR College grounds in Dindigul as his personal best effort that instilled confidence for the rest of the season.

Sachin commended captain M Shahrukh Khan for tactical leadership, bowler rotations, and match planning. He also credited Thiru Kumaran with assigning him the clear responsibility of anchoring the innings until the 15th or 16th over to guide the team through.

Along with their batting efforts, Kovai Kings' bowling unit played a crucial role in securing the championship, with bowlers Deeban Lingesh, Jhathavedh Subramanyan, and M Siddharth earning praise for their timely performances in decisive moments.
