Auto Driver Arrested in Velachery for Assaulting Woman and Mother

A 43-year-old autorickshaw driver has been arrested for assaulting a 29-year-old woman and her mother following an argument over parking a car at TNHB Colony in Velachery.

According to the police, the woman, who works in a private company, was returning home on August 14 when the confrontation took place. The dispute over car parking escalated, leading to the alleged assault on the woman and her mother.

Following the incident, police initiated action and arrested the 43-year-old driver.

A police official noted that authorities act promptly whenever complaints involving assault, intimidation, theft, or other criminal offences are reported. The official urged the public to approach the police without hesitation whenever they encounter such criminal incidents.
