Auto Driver Arrested in Koyambedu for Death Threats to College Student

The Koyambedu police have arrested a 24-year-old auto driver for allegedly issuing death threats to an 18-year-old college student after she rejected his romantic advances in Koyambedu, Chennai.

The accused has been identified as Balaji, an auto driver residing in Nerkundram. According to the police, the victim, an 18-year-old first-year college student residing in Koyambedu, lodged a formal complaint against him at the Koyambedu police station.

In her complaint, the student stated that Balaji had been pursuing her and threatened to hack her to death if she did not reciprocate his feelings and accept his love proposal.

Following the receipt of the complaint, the Koyambedu police initiated an investigation into the allegations. Based on their inquiry, the police tracked down Balaji and placed him under arrest on Monday.
