ANS Prasad Demands Ouster of BJP State President Nainar Nagenthran

Former Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson A.N.S. Prasad has demanded the immediate removal of BJP state president Nainar Nagenthran, accusing him of making personal, vulgar, and politically motivated comments against Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay during an event at the party's headquarters, Kamalalayam, in Chennai.

In a formal statement, Prasad stated that Nagenthran made derogatory remarks concerning the Chief Minister and his parents. Prasad said that these statements crossed the acceptable boundaries of political criticism and severely lowered the dignity of the party.

Prasad also referenced an earlier controversy involving Nagenthran, recalling past remarks made about actress Trisha that resulted in a public apology following widespread backlash. According to Prasad, the recent statements reflect a recurring pattern of behaviour that damages the party's standing.

Urging senior BJP leaders to take a clear stand, Prasad called upon figures including Pon Radhakrishnan, Raja, Tamilisai Soundararajan, and Vanathi Srinivasan to openly condemn Nagenthran's remarks.

Prasad stated that Nagenthran must tender a public apology and resign from his position as state president. He added that if Nagenthran fails to step down voluntarily, the BJP national leadership should step in and remove him from the post immediately.
