AIADMK Leader R B Udayakumar Mocks Tamil Nadu CM Vijay Over Government Roles

AIADMK leader and former minister R B Udayakumar sparked a political row in Chennai on Tuesday after mocking Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay in a viral video, asking when actor Trisha would be appointed as the state's Deputy Chief Minister.
In the video statement, the former minister criticized the TVK government for appointing individuals closely associated with the Chief Minister to various official government positions. Udayakumar alleged that government appointments were being given specifically to producers and technical crew members who had previously worked on the Chief Minister's films.
Enumerating specific posts, Udayakumar pointed to roles including temple trustee, the Tamil Nadu government's special representative in New Delhi, personal secretary to the Chief Minister, head of the state film training institute, and government advisors. He sarcastically questioned when Trisha, who has acted alongside C Joseph Vijay in many films, would be named Deputy Chief Minister.
The remarks by the AIADMK leader come almost a week after Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin was detained for alleged insulting remarks against the actor.
There has been no official reaction from the Chief Minister or any of the individuals targeted in Udayakumar's video.
