Agra Police Trace Headless Body Suitcase Case to Guduvanchery Rented House

Agra Railway Police, assisting Tamil Nadu police, have traced the suspected murder of an unidentified woman whose headless, chopped body was found inside a suitcase on the Tamil Nadu Express to a rented house on Masjid Street in Guduvanchery.
The investigation began after passengers in a general compartment of the Tamil Nadu Express, which departed Chennai Central on August 5, alerted railway officials to a foul smell emanating from a large red suitcase upon reaching Agra on August 6. When police opened the bag, they discovered the mutilated, headless body of a woman. A case was registered and the remains were sent to a government hospital for a postmortem examination.
To identify the suspects and track the luggage, investigators reviewed more than 200 CCTV camera recordings across several transit points. Footage from Chennai Central showed a middle-aged man and woman arriving with the red suitcase and boarding the train. Shortly before departure, the pair allegedly abandoned the luggage inside the coach and exited the train.
Police tracked the duo as they walked to Chennai Park railway station and boarded an electric train to Guduvanchery. Footage showed them later travelling from Guduvanchery railway station in an autorickshaw to a residential building on Masjid Street.
Agra Railway Police and Guduvanchery police located the rented house, which was locked. Upon opening and searching the premises, investigators recovered clues indicating that the victim may have been murdered and dismembered inside the residence.
According to police, two women and a man from Odisha had rented the house and stayed there for a few days before vanishing. Investigators are looking into whether one of the two women could be the victim. Officers are showing photographs of the suspects to local residents to establish their identities and trace their whereabouts.
The identity of the deceased woman and the location of her severed head remain unknown. Because the suspected crime scene falls under the jurisdiction of the Tambaram City Police Commissionerate, the case may be formally transferred to the Tamil Nadu police for further investigation in coordination with the Agra Railway Police.
