1,968 Students Receive Degrees at Rajalakshmi Engineering College Convocation

A total of 1,968 students were awarded their degrees during the 25th Graduation Day celebrations held at Rajalakshmi Engineering College in Chennai on Sunday.
Addressing the graduating class, Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar emphasised that an academic degree should serve as a foundation for continuous learning, responsible citizenship, and meaningful contribution to society. He encouraged the graduates to embrace change and adopt a mindset of lifelong learning.
“The future will belong to those who are willing to learn, unlearn, and relearn. As you step into your professional journey, do not measure success only by the position you achieve, but by the positive difference you create through your knowledge and actions,” Prabhakar said.
Speaking on governance, Prabhakar added, “Not everything will go well when something new begins, but in this government, everything is going well because of transparent governance. Our government believes in transparency. Everything must be transparent and accountable.”
Abhay Meganathan, Vice-Chairman of the Rajalakshmi Group, noted that the silver jubilee milestone marked not only the completion of an academic programme but also the culmination of years of collective effort by students, parents, faculty, and the institution.
During the convocation ceremony, 10 Ph.D. scholars and 83 gold medallists across 17 undergraduate and nine postgraduate degree programmes received their certificates and medals.
College principal S.N. Murugesan, members of the management, faculty members, and parents of the graduating students attended the graduation day event.
